The Big Four Japanese Motorcycle manufacturers namely Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, and Yamaha vow to continue to improve products, services and legislation related to motorcycles in the evergrowing Philippine market. These four companies are all members of the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA), which recently inducted its new set of officers last March 29, 2021.
The new board of directors and committee leaders take the cudgels from the previous MDPPA officers that witnessed the rise in motorcycle sales in 2019, and the pandemic challenges of 2020.
Leading the online ceremonies was Atty. Clarence V. Guinto, Acting Director of the Law Enforcement Service and concurrent Regional Director of the Land Transportation Office – National Capital Region West. Sworn into office were Norminio C. Mojica (Suzuki Philippines, Inc.) as President; Virgilio A. Montaño (Kawasaki Motor Phil. Corp.) as Vice President; Armando B. Reyes (Honda Phil. Inc.) as Treasurer, and Alejandro O. Lejano (Yamaha Motor Phil., Inc) as Auditor.
‘Rising above and beyond the current challenges,’ is the battlecry for the big four. “It sparks our fire to continue delivering the results despite the current challenges of the pandemic,” said Mojica.
The event was also graced by guests from the government and automotive industry associations, active media members, MDPPA member-company presidents, the association’s past executives, officers of the motorcycle dealers association, and major motorcycle dealers.
