Butuan Mulitcab Operators Transport Service Cooperative or BUMOTSCO recently acquired the initial 2 units of the Dongfeng Class 2 Modern PUV. Pilipinas Autogroup, Inc. (PilipinasAuto), through its dealer Davao Bonifacio Motors, Inc., made the delivery in early September.   With an expected 50-unit supply arrangement, this is the first step by the transport cooperative in complying with the public transportation modernization program spearheaded by the Department of Transportation.

The Dongfeng Class 2 Modern PUV can carry 17 people seated plus 9 standing under normal non-COVID 19 pandemic situation. This vehicle is powered by a Euro 4 compliant 2.8 liter common rail diesel engine with 115 hp at 3,600 rpm and 260 N-m at 2,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. With an introductory price of PHP1.960M pesos, overhead air-conditioning is standard along with other LTFRB approved accessories such as: Automatic Fare Collection System, CCTV with recorder, LED route display, GPS tracking, LCD Monitor, and wifi router. Warranty coverage is one of the best in the industry at 2 years or 100,000 kilometers whichever comes first.
