In line with Suzuki 100th Anniversary
Commemorating its Centennial year celebration, Suzuki Philippines recently honored its dealers and bankers in a formal but colorful event, highlighted with the 2 Millionth unit sold, and the launch of the new Suzuki Raider J Crossover motorcycle.
Mr. Mitch Bontogon, Marketing Head, Suzuki Philippines Mr. Akira Kotsumi, President, Suzuki Philippines
The much awaited unveiling
The Raider J Crossover is Suzuki’s answer to the demanding road of the Philippines, particularly in the provinces and city outskirts, where not-so-favorable road conditions still exists. With its rugged design, bigger fenders, stiffer suspension and semi knobby tires, it clearly deviates from the usual Raider design profile.
The SuzukiRaider J Crossover has safety in mind, thanks to a petal disc brake for the front, and drum for the rear. The front fork is equipped with boot protection. The rear suspension consists of larger shocks and blue coil springs (a nice touch). Semi-knobby tires lend that heavy duty look.
Characteristics
Clearly with the daily commuter in mind, the Crossover J, possesses the qualities of an all-around bike. Powered by a 113 cc four-stroke, EFI air-cooled engine with a 4-speed semi-automatic transmission, it has an estimated 66km/liter fuel consumption, and can reach a reported 102 kph. Not to shabby for a small engine motorcycle.
Price
Suzuki announced that the 2020 Suzuki Raider J Crossover is priced at PHP 66,900, almost 4,000 lower than its nearest competitor. Suzuki positioned the Raider Crossover J to be the preferred mode of transport for the working individual, who doubles also as a weekend adventure rider. With the on-going motorcycle wars between several manufacturers, Suzuki is a step ahead, thanks to the new Raider variant.
