Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai passenger cars and commercial vehicles, joins the Clash of the Compacts as it introduces the all-new Hyundai Reina.
Don’t let the minisicule dimensions fool you. The Reina has the famed Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design DNA that gives enough interior space, not to mention its elegant look, reminiscent of the Hyundai Modern Premium pedigree.
Powered by a frugal 1.4-litre Kappa MPI petrol engine, with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic, it can propel the car with it’s 95ps/6000rpm and 13.5kg-m/4000rpm torque.
The smallish-looking Reina surprises us as it comfortably fits up to five (5) occupants, and has sufficient wheelbase measuring 2,570mm that gives the driver and 4 passengers ample room for comfort. Safety features are standard, like ISOFIX seatbelts, dual airbags and ABS.
Dual airbags and ABSThe Reina also boasts of generous trunk space that can store up to 475 liters of cargo, big enough for a small family to bring stuff for long road trips or short run for groceries.
Although the automotive wars is geared towards the SUVs, the subcompact market is catching up; proof that mobility need not be humongous vehicles, but more practical vehicles that are fuel efficient, maneuverable and most importantly, easy to park.
