GCash just teamed up with Lazada to bring even more payment options to customers. Starting today, shoppers can now use their GCash wallet to purchase items at the e-commerce platform.
How it works:
- Select products for purchase
- GCash option will appear upon check out
- Buyers will only select GCash as mode of payment
- Link GCash registered cellphone/mobile device number and confirm payment
After completion of purchase, the GCash wallet will be saved as payment option for subsequent purchases.
“Being able to shop online using the GCash App solves two problems, mainly providing access and convenience to consumers to shop online without a credit card, and enabling merchants to expand their consumer base and minimize risk on COD transactions” — Anthony Thomas, Mynt’s President and CEO.
GCash and Lazada will also hold joint sale and promo activities for GCash wallet holders. Discounts up to 50% will be offered and up to Php200 on flash sales.
